Privacy Policy
Oakwood Conquest is an online role-playing game. We collect the information needed to run accounts, save game progress, protect the service from abuse, provide support, send optional notifications, and understand whether the game is working correctly. We do not sell personal information and we do not use personal information for cross-app advertising tracking.
1. Who We Are
This policy describes how Oakwood Conquest ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Oakwood Conquest website, mobile app, and related game services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. Email address, character/account name, password hash, email verification status, account creation date, last login date, and account security tokens for email verification, email change, and password reset flows.
- Authentication and security information. Refresh-session records, IP address, user agent, request metadata, anti-abuse signals, rate-limit information, and Cloudflare Turnstile challenge responses when additional verification is required.
- Gameplay information. Character names, character appearance choices, progress, level, resources, inventory, spells, combat sessions, stamina, rankings, activity logs, party, clan, job, arena, PvP, mail, and other saved game state.
- User-generated content. Messages you submit through Town Square/social posts, replies, polls, trade listings, job contracts, character profile text, private mail, and support conversations.
- Notifications information. If you enable stamina notifications, we store the push subscription endpoint, browser push keys, user agent, or Apple Push Notification service device token needed to send those notifications.
- Diagnostics and analytics. Device/browser information, app version, build channel, runtime surface, URLs within the game, error messages, stack traces, WebGL renderer diagnostics, selected game state context, server route metrics, and Google Analytics events. Google Analytics is configured with IP anonymization and advertising storage disabled.
- Device storage. The web app uses cookies and local storage for login sessions, analytics consent, and gameplay preferences. The iOS app uses secure device storage for the refresh token and a small account/character snapshot so you can stay signed in.
3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
We do not intentionally collect precise location, contacts, photos, camera data, microphone data, health data, or payment card details through the game. If this changes, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before using that information.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts;
- save character progress, inventory, rankings, and multiplayer state;
- operate PvE, PvP, social, mail, party, clan, job, support, and notification features;
- send account security emails, password reset emails, and optional game communications;
- send optional stamina recovery push notifications;
- detect abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate security issues, and protect fair play;
- debug crashes, rendering failures, mobile integration issues, and server performance;
- measure aggregate usage and improve the game.
5. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the game, comply with law, protect users, or use service providers. Current or planned service providers may include hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery providers, Google Analytics, Google Fonts, Cloudflare Turnstile, Apple Push Notification service, and browser push providers. These providers process information for the purposes described in this policy.
6. Public and Multiplayer Features
Some game information is visible to other players. This may include your character name, character appearance, level, rankings, profile text, public social posts, replies, trade listings, job contracts, party or clan participation, PvP outcomes, and other gameplay events. Private mail and support messages are not intended to be public, but they may be reviewed by administrators for support, moderation, safety, and abuse prevention.
7. Your Choices
- You can change your account email or password in account settings where available.
- You can disable push notifications in the game, in browser settings, or in iOS settings.
- You can use available in-game controls to delete or hide characters.
- You can request account access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting [email protected].
- Web players in regions where analytics consent is requested can accept or deny analytics through the consent prompt. Other players may contact us about analytics choices.
8. Retention
We keep account and gameplay information while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. Some records may be retained longer when needed for security, moderation, dispute handling, legal compliance, backups, or preserving multiplayer history. Push notification tokens are retained until you unsubscribe, the token becomes invalid, or the related account data is deleted. Diagnostic and aggregate server metrics are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate and improve the service.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plaintext. Refresh tokens and account security tokens are stored as hashes on the server. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong, unique password and keep your account email secure.
10. Children
Oakwood Conquest is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. International Processing
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer or process information internationally, we use safeguards appropriate for the service and the information involved.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the game, legal requirements, or our data practices change. The latest version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
